SCR caters to Adult Rowers of all skill levels however we also offer private sessions to all rowers of any age.
We approach this sport with the whole-body in mind and emphasize strengthening and flexibility alongside rowing technique.
Every rower receives individualized attention, that is our core philosophy.

MEET THE CREW
Cofounders and Coaches
Sean Kreitzer rowed at Stony Brook University for 4 years. During this time he was team Equipment Manager and elected to be the team’s President. In 2016, Sean was selected as finalist by USRowing for their Collegiate Athlete of the Year award alongside athletes from Columbia and Stanford Universities. Sean is a Level II Certified Coach by US Rowing, and has coached middle school and high School Athletes. Many of these athletes have gone on to row at NCAA division I, II, and III programs. He currently serves as the SBU Crew Alumni Advisor, running reunion events and rows. After receiving Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Stony Brook University, competed in triathlons and became a certified CrossFit instructor in 2017, pursuing his interests in weightlifting and fitness.
Sean is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Stony Brook University. He has worked in rehabbing athletes of the Stony Brook University Football team as well as those preparing for the NFL combine, some of whom were drafted into the NFL. He also interned with Stony Brook Universities Strength and Conditioning coaches, working with the Men’s Lacrosse team.
Loriana Demirciyan began rowing for Stony Brook University and quickly rose to be the teams top female athlete. She won the teams Golden Hammer award for fastest ergometer scores her novice year. She also served on the teams executive board. Prior to rowing Loriana played soccer and was a goalie for an Elite Club National League team. Loriana has Coached Junior, High School, and Masters Athletes. She is Certified by USRowing as a Level I coach.
Currently she graduated from Stony Brook University with her Masters in Teaching and her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology.
